A Hidden Florida Fairy Tale: The Little Paradise Event Venue Pt. 1

Last week, several vendors and I got to take part in a really magical styled shoot. The little paradise event venue is one of the most unique venues i have ever been to in florida. as soon as you step in, you’re beamed by rays of sunlight fighting to get through the cascade of trees and shrubbery that the venue is engulfed in. Because of this, I am able to use my secret weapon for all my wedding films: hard lighting.

I find the use of direct sunlight and hard lighting underrated in the wedding video world. it allows for unique contrast ratios in your images which help create a more cinematic and dreamy feeling. With all the leaves surrounding us I was able to make use of my soviet lens which shines most when used in busy backgrounds. below you will see an example of my soviet lens:

The bubbly bokeh balls swirling behind the subject create a dream like effect which I find to be more immersive , especially when used in wedding films.

So many videographers abuse the word CINEMATIC but in this instance i think that term fits perfectly.

If you’re looking for a fairy tale venue in florida, this is the place to book.
